This is the rainy season in Zambia, and traveling to the rural areas is an adventure.
Victor has made contact with our new partners, Tegama School and the nearby village of Lumwengo. They are very eager to replicate our work in Chilupula.
Lumwengo and Tegama School are even farther into the bush than Chilupula and Mwachilele by about 30 kilometers. Because of the difficulty and expense of going there, Victor has had some trouble in arranging transportation. He is there right now trying to identify leaders for the Cooperative.
The Tegama School leadership, Mr.Paul Nkhata (Head Master), is fully on board with us. Mrs.Josephine Kabwe Ngandu, (Deputy Head) is very excited about working with other Teachers in the US. One of the teachers is Mr.Innocent Lupwaya. He is the nephew of our very dear friend and late COPE member from Chilupula Village,Victoria Lupwaya.
We look forward to the excitement, and sometimes the trepidation, of starting a new project.
